**I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY**
The JLBC Cadet Corps humbly requests funding to further our mission of providing academic and leadership development for at-risk youth in Riverside, California. Our organization uses outdoor survival training and mentoring to foster character development, team building, and academic success. Since our inception on September 11, 2020, we have made significant strides in transforming the community by offering productive alternatives to illicit activities. We aim to leverage this grant to expand our programs and reach more youth who can benefit from our services.
**II. NEEDS STATEMENT**
Once notorious for its urban struggles, Riverside, California, faces a transformational era. Despite the improvements, the community still needs more resources and opportunities for its young population. The JLBC Cadet Corps addresses these issues as a beacon of hope for a brighter future. However, the need outweighs the capacity of our existing resources, calling for additional funding.
**III. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION**
Our program utilizes a comprehensive approach encompassing leadership, academic tutoring, and practical survival skills. Our 'First Serve' program provides homework assistance and mentoring, promoting life skills and character development. We also incorporate survival training, teaching our cadets to grow food, build shelters, and foster a sense of camaraderie.
**IV. BUDGET**
The JLBC Cadet Corps operates on a lean budget. Funding will be allocated towards program staffing, facilities maintenance, tutoring materials, survival training supplies, and administrative costs. A detailed budget will be provided upon request.
**V. MEASURABLE OBJECTIVES**
We measure our success by tracking academic improvements, reductions in truancy and criminal activity, and increases in positive behaviors among our cadets. With the proposed funding, we aim to expand our reach, serve more youth, and magnify our impact on the Riverside community.
**VI. SUSTAINABILITY PLAN**
The JLBC Cadet Corps is committed to sustainability. We seek diverse funding sources, including grants, individual donations, and community partnerships. We also aim to establish an endowment fund to ensure long-term sustainability.
**VII. CONCLUSION**
The JLBC Cadet Corps has proven its ability to transform lives and communities. We request your consideration for funding to enhance and expand our reach. Together, we can shape the future leaders of Riverside and create lasting, positive change in our community.
Thank you for considering our proposal. We look forward to working together to empower Riverside's youth further.
