Given that JLBC Cadet Corps is a non-profit organization that provides youth development services, our pricing strategy primarily focuses on affordability and accessibility. We aim to make our programs accessible to as many young individuals as possible, regardless of their financial circumstances. Here is an outline of our pricing strategy:
Membership Fees:
We have an annual membership fee that helps cover some of our basic operational costs. However, this fee is deliberately kept minimal to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent interested youths from participating. As of 2023, our annual membership fee is set at $50.
Program Fees:
We charge a separate fee for our unique programs and camps to cover the costs of running these programs. However, these fees are competitively priced to ensure affordability. For example, a week-long leadership camp might cost around $200.
Financial Aid and Scholarships:
Understanding that even minimal fees may burden some families, we have a financial aid system in place. We offer scholarships and a sliding scale fee structure for families with demonstrated financial need. The aim is to ensure young person is kept from being turned away due to financial constraints.
Fundraising and Donations:
Most of our funding comes from fundraising activities and donations from individuals, businesses, and other organizations. These contributions help subsidize the costs of our programs, allowing us to keep our fees affordable.
Our pricing strategy aligns with our mission to provide leadership and personal development opportunities for all youth. It is essential for us to strike a balance between covering our operational costs and ensuring our services are accessible to those who need them. As a non-profit, our primary measure of success is the positive impact we make in the lives of young individuals, not profits.
