Ages: 4-7 years old
Week 1 - Introduction to Martial Arts:
Introduction to martial arts, its history, core values, and benefits. Emphasis on discipline, respect, and safety.
Week 2 - Martial Arts Etiquette:
Introduction to the dojo rules and the significance of respect and courtesy in martial arts. It understands the bow and its importance.
Week 3 - Basic Stances:
Introduction to basic stances like the ready stance, front stance, and back stance. Focus on balance and coordination.
Week 4 - Basic Movements:
It understands the fundamental movements, including moving forward, backward, and side-to-side—introduction to safe falling techniques.
Week 5 - Basic Blocks:
They are learning basic blocking techniques. Students will practice these on soft targets and in the air.
Week 6 - Basic Strikes:
I understand and practicing basic strike techniques, with an emphasis on proper form and safety.
Week 7 - Introduction to Kicks:
Introduction to the basics of martial arts kicks, such as front kicks.
Week 8 - Advanced Kicks:
Exploring more advanced kicks like the sidekick and roundhouse kick. Techniques to improve balance, flexibility, and control will be emphasized.
Week 9 - Forms and Kata I:
Introduction to kata or forms, which are prearranged sets of movements. Focus on improving memory and execution of techniques.
Week 10 - Forms and Kata II:
Continuation of forms and kata practice with more complex sequences.
Week 11 - Basic Self-Defense Techniques:
Introduction to basic self-defense techniques, emphasizing when and how to use martial arts skills responsibly.
Week 12 - Sparring Fundamentals I:
Introduction to sparring basics, focusing on control, technique application, and safety.
Week 13 - Sparring Fundamentals II:
Continued practice in sparring with partner drills, with an emphasis on maintaining control and safety.
Week 14 - Health, Fitness, and Review:
It understands the importance of physical fitness in martial arts. Basic exercises for strength, flexibility, and endurance. Review of all techniques learned.
Week 15 - Belt Testing and Graduation:
Assessment of skills learned for belt promotion. Demonstration of techniques, kata, and etiquette. Graduation and presentation of new belts.
