JLBC: Leadership
Watchstanders, and the supervision of Operations Staff Cadets
while in the role of Master-at-Arms. The Security Officer will
serve as the Officer of the Watch from 0700-2100 each day. The
Security Officer will wear a green nameplate with white lettering
(“SECURITY”) centered on the flap of their right JLBC breast pocket.
Logistics Officer
Responsible to the Operations Officer for the transportation of cadets and equipment; for the disposition of all training equipment; for the laundry facilities and the efficient and productive laundering of all clothing, linen, and towels; for the efficient and effective delivery of food to the training contingent; and for supervising Operations Staff Cadets while in the roles of Ship’s Servicemen and Mess Specialists. The Logistics Officer will wear a green nameplate with white lettering (“LOGISTICS”) centered on the flap of their right breast pocket.
Supply Officer
Responsible to the JLBC Logistics Officer for the disposition of all training equipment at RTC-NE; for the supervision of the Supply Locker; and for the proper maintenance of a Supply Log. The Supply Officer will wear a green nameplate with white lettering (“SUPPLY”) centered on the flap of their right breast pocket.
MED - Medical Officer (Department Head)
Responsible to the JLBC Executive Officer for the health, safety, and well-being of the Training Contingent, for the treatment of minor injuries, for the dispensation of medication following, and for the supervision of the Corpsmen assigned to the Medical Department. The Medical Officer must be a medical professional with a license in good standing. The Medical Officer will wear a yellow nameplate with black lettering (“MEDICAL”) centered on the flap of their right breast pocket.
Assistant Medical Officer
Assists the Medical Officer in the performance of their duties. The Assistant Medical Officer must be a medical professional with a license in good standing. The Assistant Medical Officer will wear a green nameplate with white lettering (“ASST MEDICAL”) centered on the flap of their right breast pocket.
ADMIN - Administration Officer (Department Head)
Responsible to the JLBC Executive Officer for the administration of cadet and officer service records, for the creation of award citations and certificates, for the product and publication of a graduation program, for the collection and distribution of mail, for the disposition and auditing of training funds while on board.
