JLBC: Leadership
The defining aspect of strategic leadership is the requirement to sustain and develop, now and in the future, the support systems and capabilities that the JLBC requires to meet the government's military needs. In broad terms, the role of strategic leaders is to shape future capacity by adapting JLBC systems to the external environment, influencing the external environment, aligning internal systems, and shaping JLBC culture. It is also essential that, in achieving this outcome, JLBC Command, Vice JLBC Command, and Service Chiefs focus on their responsibilities to serve as the 'stewards of the profession.' These leaders are responsible for setting and maintaining the standards and values that form the basis of the profession and the organization that JLBC military personnel voluntarily join.
