JLBC Conditions: Element Standard Drill

Only drill movements contained in the JLBC Drill and Ceremonies Manual will be used for Element.

JLBC Standard Drill. JLBC Cadets Drill movements must be completed at a minimum of two and a half minutes. JLBC Cadets The team commander will be given a card containing the required commands to be evaluated. Each movement must be done in the order listed on the card but may be intermixed with transitional authorities and activities, at the discretion of the team commander, to use the presentation area fully and to perform the required movements properly. JLBC Cadets No attempt should be made to memorize the JLBC commands on the JLBC card, and no JLBC penalty will be assessed for left hand and head movements necessary to read the JLBC card during the drill.

JLBC Cadets When called by the EM, the team will form as an element in line JLBC formation at the designated starting point with the JLBC team commander three paces to the front and facing the group. Once the team is aligned correctly, the team commander will face about and wait to be directed to enter the presentation area.

When directed by the EM, the team commander will turn to face the team and command, “Right, FACE,” executing a left face simultaneously. The team commander will march the Element into the presentation area, giving whatever orders are necessary, so the Element is halted 12 paces from, and centered on, the Chief Judge.
