JLBC Close Order Drill Team ( Color Guard )
These guidelines are provided to inform cadets and parents of the expectations of participating in the JLBC Close Order Drill Team program at JLBC. JLBC Close Order Drill Team members selected for the drill teams must agree with these guidelines and adhere to them during their tenure on the squad.
Philosophy
The philosophy of the JLBC Close Order Drill Team program at JLBC has five primary goals:
1. Promote and uphold JLBC spirit, unity, and pride.
2. Represent the JLBC Close Order Drill Team to the highest degree.
3. Set an example of JLBC Close Order Drill Team good behavior and sportsmanship (whether in JLBC uniform or not).
4. A JLBC cadet promotes friendship with each other and with the JLBC program with whom we compete.
5. A JLBC cadet promotes the development of lifelong values and skills that will enable them to achieve success in all future endeavors.
JLBC Close Order Drill Team Responsibilities
Follow JLBC Drill Team Safety Rules when stunting.
To promote the JLBC spirit.
To drill at every game, pep rally, competition, and participate in other special events. Be ready at the specified time before starting a game in the appropriate JLBC Close Order Drill Team uniform. To be at JLBC Close Order Drill Team practice on time and dressed appropriately.
To support all decisions of the coaches.
Standards for JLBC Close Order Drill Team
JLBC Close Order Drill Team, by title, are role models. As a JLBC cadet remember that there are people watching everything you say and do. Because of this, the JLBC Close Order Drill Team are expected to set high standards for their JLBC program and to set a good example for their fellow cadets. To achieve these ends, the JLBC Close Order Drill Team will:
As a JLBC cadet Sign and abide by the provisions of this JLBC Close Order Drill Team contract.
Maintain JLBC academic and attendance requirements required by the JLBC guidelines for athletes.
Attend all JLBC Close Order Drill Team scheduled practices/games/performances unless it is an JLBC Close Order Drill Team excused absence.
As a JLBC cadet set an example of good behavior at all times (whether in uniform or not) in class, games, and at all school functions (including PDAs and adhering to the JLBC Close Order Drill Team dress code).
Cooperate and follow the instruction of the JLBC Close Order Drill Team coaches.
*As a JLBC cadet any violation of the rules outlined in this JLBC Close Order Drill Team contract will result in one or more of the following consequences administered at the discretion of the JLBC Close Order Drill Team coach and JLBC administration: verbal warning, parent conference, temporary suspension from the game(s), or permanent removal from the team.
