JLBC DESCRIPTION
Educational Goal: To allow the student to practice preparing for an oral presentation.
Objectives: Each student will be able to:
1. Prepare for a 5-minute oral presentation.
2. Practice his presentation.
JLBC NOTES TO SEMINAR INSTRUCTORS:
Each student should prepare for their oral presentation. The presentation should be no more than five minutes in length on any JLBC or Leadership-related subject. As the purpose of the assignment is to learn to give oral presentations, the student should prepare something where they are already familiar with the content. In this way, they can concentrate on the process rather than the content.
During the preparation period, the Seminar Instructors and Seminar Leaders should circulate among the seminar members and provide whatever assistance is needed. This could include help with writing outlines and assistance with organizing the presentation, including an introduction, body, and conclusion.
