JLBC Cadet Corps Leadership Positions: Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders
The JLBC Cadet Corps is a highly respected institution dedicated to developing youth in leadership, citizenship, and life skills. School Captains
The role of the School Captains is of utmost importance in the Corps. Two School Captains are selected from the current year 11 cohort, and they serve as the leading representatives of the Cadet Corps. Their role involves:
Acting as a liaison between the school administration and the Corps.
Leading by example.
Demonstrating the core values of the Cadet Corps in all their actions.
School Vice Captains
Two School Vice Captains are also chosen from the current year 11 cohort. They assist the Captains in their duties and are often given specific tasks to lead within the Corps. They are expected to step into the Captain's role when needed and consistently demonstrate their leadership skills.
STARS Leaders
The STARS Leaders program is a unique feature of the JLBC Cadet Corps. It aims to identify and develop leadership skills in younger cadets. Two STARS Leaders are selected from the year 9-11 cohorts. They promote positive behaviors, create a respectful and encouraging atmosphere, and assist in various Corps activities.
Senior House Leaders
Each house has two Senior House Leaders selected from the year 10/11 cohorts. They are in charge of their respective homes, managing and leading their team in competitions and activities. They also play a vital role in maintaining discipline and camaraderie within their houses.
Junior House Leaders
Each house has two Junior House Leaders selected from the year 8/9 cohorts. They assist the Senior House Leaders and help manage the younger cadets in their homes. They are groomed for senior leadership positions, gaining valuable experience and exposure.
Instrumental Music Leaders
The JLBC Cadet Corps also recognizes the importance of music in overall development. Therefore, three Instrumental Music Leaders were chosen from the year 8-11 cohorts. They lead the Corps' instrumental music activities, including marching band performances and other music-related events.
