Developing Tomorrow's Leaders: The JLBC Cadet Corps Sergeants School Distance Education Program Introduction The Junior Leadership Battalions and Cadets (JLBC) Cadet Corps Sergeants School Distance Education Program (DEP) is a revolutionary initiative designed to equip sergeants with the essential knowledge and skills required to assume leadership roles of greater responsibility. Recognizing the importance of leadership, warfighting, training, administrative, and communication skills, the program aims to create well-rounded, confident, and decisive small unit leaders who can effectively lead JLBC Cadets in simulated combat situations and mentor junior cadets. A Comprehensive Curriculum The JLBC Sergeants School curriculum is comprised of nine meticulously designed courses that focus on enhancing leadership capabilities in both garrison and combat environments. The courses aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of leadership and small unit tactics, ensuring sergeants are well-prepared to face any challenge. Leadership Fundamentals: This course introduces cadets to the foundational principles of leadership, exploring topics such as decision-making, problem-solving, and effective communication. Warfighting Tactics and Strategy: Cadets delve into the strategic and tactical aspects of warfighting, learning the principles of maneuver warfare and operational planning.
