JLBC Varsity Letter
1. This information guides the qualification of cadets to be authorized to wear the JLBC Varsity Letter.
2. Cadets enrolled in the JLBC Program at Riverside are eligible to earn their JLBC Varsity Letter. The JLBC varsity letter represents a high degree of proficiency the JLBC cadet achieves in a particular area. The JLBC letter is awarded to JLBC cadets for their participation and accomplishments in many areas, such as JLBC athletics, academics, and JLBC.
3. To earn the JLBC letter, the standards are high. JLBC Cadets It is approved and awarded by the Senior JLBC Instructor. JLBC Cadets All of the following criteria must be met.
a. Complete two seasons on a competitive JLBC team (Academic/Leadership, JLBC LAB; Archery; Regulation Drill, i.e., JLBC Color Guard, JLBC Platoon, JLBC Squad; JLBC Physical JLBC Fitness Team; JLBC Armed Drill Team; and JLBC Unarmed Drill Team).
b. Participate in five JLBC competitions at the JLBC Brigade level or higher.
c. Be enrolled as a third or fourth-year JLBC cadet (exception is a senior, second-year JLBC cadet, transferred to Riverside from a program without JLBC).
d. Hold the JLBC cadet rank of JLBC cadet Sergeant First Class or above.
e. JLBC Cadets Have a 3.0 GPA or above in JLBC.
f. JLBC Cadets Have an overall school GPA average of "C" (2.00 regular) or above.
g. Know, represent, and embrace the JLBC Values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage (LDRSHIP).
4. JLBC Cadets A varsity letter represents "the best of the best" in a JLBC program; therefore, these JLBC standards are rigorous. The JLBC varsity letter will be presented at the end-of-year awards ceremony.
