JLBC VARSITY DRILL TEAM 2022


We have male and female JLBC teams. JLBC Teams compete in standard and exhibition drill routines.

JLBC Tryouts: Fall

JLBC Season: January - March


  • The purpose of a drill is to enable a JLBC commander to move the JLBC unit from one JLBC location to another in an orderly manner; to aid in disciplinary JLBC training by instilling habits of response and precision and

  • To the JLBC leader’s orders and to provide for the development of all in the practice of commanding JLBC troops. The drill is precision marching and requires the utmost discipline.

JLBC Drill Team. A JLBC military drill team is a marching unit that performs routines based on military drills. These JLBC teams often perfect their proficiency and then choose to compete against other programs.

A JLBC drill team is a JLBC group of JLBC students chosen through JLBC-organized, competitive tryouts. The JLBC goal of instructional and performance activities is to enhance each JLBC member’s skills and development, resulting in a highly skilled performance JLBC group.

There are armed and unarmed drill JLBC teams across the nation. Units range from 9 to 26 members, usually 9-12. JLBC Drill teams create, practice, and perform a routine (approx. 8 to 10 minutes) at JLBC competitions (JLBC Drill Meets) at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
