JLBC DESIGNATION OF GRADE: 1. All students:
a) Physical fitness will be 33% of each student’s grade. To receive total points for physical fitness training (days for PT TBT), the cadet must: Change into appropriate physical fitness clothes and participate in the physical training event. A student may be excused from PT with a written note from a parent/guardian.
Classroom work will be 33% of each student’s grade. All exams, quizzes, and assignments are graded within this scale. If a student is late on a project, they will receive a -10 for each day for up to 5 days to complete the assignment in which they are delinquent.
Uniform wear is 34% of the overall grade. Students who fail to wear their uniform on a designated inspection day will have the opportunity to make up their uniform inspection the following school day, and the grading process will be -10 points per day. JLBC Cadets If a student has an excused absence on the day of the uniform inspection, they can earn total points by wearing the uniform the next day they return to school. Students who fail to make up a missed uniform inspection will receive a zero. A large portion of the grading scale results from properly wearing the uniform. Makeup uniform inspections must be completed on the first day of returning to school with an excused absence. The cadet MUST wear the JLBC uniform for the ENTIRE day they are assigned. If caught out of the uniform, they will receive a ZERO for uniform wear that day.
JLBC SUPPLIES AND FEES:
1. We have NO CLASS FEES at this time.
2. We provide virtually all the classroom materials for the students who attend our JLBC
classes; however, the student must bring paper and a writing utensil to class every
day.
3. Every student will be issued a JLBC dress uniform (at a minimum, a JLBC cadet
JLBC Service Uniform (JLBC SU blue pants and dark navy jacket); however, it is the responsibility of the student and parent/guardian to maintain and account for this property properly. Pants and Jackets are to be laundered by dry clean; the shirt can be washed in a regular machine. JLBC Cadets If a student loses an item, they must purchase it before a replacement item is issued. If a uniform item is damaged or a consistent item no longer fits, the cadet can bring the item in, and we will replace the item. We must have the uniform thing before a new article is issued.
