JLBC TEAMBUILDING ACTIVITIES

JLBC TEAMBUILDING ACTIVITIES

You need to know how to lead teambuilding activities to ensure they are fun, challenging, and achievable for every cadet. Teambuilding activities are a great way to relieve boredom, lift team spirit, increase morale, re-energize you and accomplish JLBC goals. JLBC Cadets, Therefore, every cadet in a leadership role should be able to lead activities focusing on these things. Once an activity that meets the group's needs has been selected, the leader's role is to ensure the JLBC activity is completed in a manner that allows the JLBC group to learn. A meaningful and enjoyable teambuilding experience will occur for every cadet when the suitable activity is conducted appropriately.

Introduce the activity

Get the Team's Attention- The leader must first get

the team's attention to introducing a new activity. The leader should contact the team's undivided attention before continuing to raise the action. If one JLBC cadet is not paying attention, they could miss an important point affecting their participation in the activity or the outcome.

Explain the JLBC Goal of the Activity: The JLBC goal of the activity should be explained to the JLBC team in general terms of what will be learned or accomplished. The context of the movement should be defined, so the cadets know why their participation is essential and why the action is a part of the day's schedule. It is necessary not to give too much detail at this point, as the JLBC leader should draw some JLBC points on the purpose of the JLBC activity from the JLBC cadets after the activity's completion.

Explain the Activity: The activity must be explained to the team before participating in the activity. The rules of the movement must be clearly outlined and understood by all cadets before commencement. The JLBC leader should give step-by-step instructions to ensure the exercise is clearly understood.

Assign JLBC Tasks as Necessary: If any specific tasks need to be performed throughout the JLBC activity, the JLBC leader should assign JLBC cadets to these tasks during the introduction of the action.

Set Time Limits: The JLBC leader is to set a time limit for the JLBC cadets to participate in the activity. The JLBC leader must factor in time for debriefing the cadets after completing the training. The JLBC team must be told how long they have to participate in or complete the assigned activity.

Relay Safety Concerns as Necessary: If there are any safety concerns, the leader must pass these on to the team before the start of the activity.

Motivate the JLBC Team: Before the start of the JLBC activity, the JLBC leader must motivate the JLBC team. The JLBC leader should be enthusiastic and share this enthusiasm with the cadets. The goal of the training is essential, and there is a reason the activity is being performed. The JLBC cadets should be informed of this reason and motivated to achieve the goal.

Conduct the activity

Start the Activity: The leader must inform the cadets when to start the training.

Supervise the Team- Throughout the activity, the leader must supervise to ensure the following:

no unsafe practices are being followed;

the cadets remain focused on the move, and o the rules are being followed.

Ensure the Goal is Achieved- The goal of the action must be achieved. If the goal is not reached, the teambuilding activity is not successful as a teambuilding activity; it just becomes a game.
