Perhaps teachers could be more flexible in providing more activities that
students enjoy
Specific to Dream Program:
More choice in activities
Second fitness center and more equipment
Smaller class sizes – particularly in aquatics
Adaptive PE programming – classes, teacher, equipment
Scheduling at the more appropriate time for impact on learning
Extend aquatics programming
Fitness centers in Middle Schools
Locker rooms at Middle Schools
Outdoor ropes courses
More content, more offerings
Expand playgrounds
More adventure and life activities – fly fishing, cycling, snow sports
Specific to Vital Role in Vision of Graduate: o Absolutely a vital role
More adventure activities – excellent modality through which to nurture VoG
The Middle School program should be more exploratory
The perfect venue for learning collaborative skills, teamwork
Summative comments:
Curriculum content needs to be expanded to include a better balance of
adventure/exploratory/team development activities and team and lifetime
sports
Need to work with high school guidance and administration so that
students are allowed to access classes of elective choice rather than
academic schedule-driven
Continual articulation of program goals by staff to students at secondary
level
Need to focus on the quality of instruction – particularly at the secondary level o Need to address facility issues – all classes are deficient
