• To explore the meaning and significance of leadership

• To understand the importance of leadership in youth organizations

• To develop a standard definition of leadership

Description (what happened?):

First, we had a quick presentation on different definitions of leadership. Leadership can be defined, for example, as "a two-way street, loyalty up and loyalty down. Respect for one's superiors; care for one's crew" (Grace Hopper) or "the capacity to establish direction and to influence and align others toward a common goal, motivating and committing them to action and making them responsible for their performance" (BNET online Business Dictionary). We also discussed our definitions of leadership and how we see leadership in youth NGOs.
