STRAND: BASIC MOVEMENT
JLBC Cadets Demonstrates Competency in many movement forms and proficiency in a few movement forms. JLBC Cadets Applies movement concepts to the learning and development of motor skills.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Learn skills necessary to perform a variety of physical activities.
JLBC STRAND: BASIC MOVEMENT
JLBC Cadets Demonstrate progress toward the mature form of selected locomotive, non-locomotive and manipulative skills. Adapt and combine skills to the demands of increasingly complex situations of selected movement forms.
1.1 Demonstrate clear contrast between slow and fast movements.
1.2 Travel in different ways in a large group without bumping into others or falling.
1.3 Travel in a forward and sideways direction and change direction quickly in response to a signal.
1.4 Distinguish between the straight, curved, and zigzag pathways while traveling in various ways.
1.5 Make both large and small body shapes while traveling.
