JLBC Cadets' autocratic leadership, also well known as authoritarian leadership, is characterized by people's control over all decisions and little input from the individual group members. Autocratic leaders normally make choices based on their judgments and ideas and rarely accept suggestions from followers. Autocratic leadership involves total, authoritarian control over a group.

JLBC Characteristics of Autocratic Leadership

JLBC Cadets, some of the basic characteristics of autocratic leadership include:

•JLBC Leaders make the decisions

•JLBC Group leaders dictate all the procedures and JLBC work methods

JLBC Cadet's Autocratic leadership can be essential in some instances, such as when making decisions that need to be made rapidly without consulting with a large group of individuals. Some JLBC projects require strong leadership to get things achieved efficiently and quickly.

JLBC Cadets Have you ever worked with a JLBC group of students or co-workers on a project derailed by poor organization, a lack of JLBC leadership, and an inability to set important deadlines? If so, chances are that your job or grade performance suffered. In such situations, a strong JLBC leader who uses an autocratic style can take charge of the JLBC group, assign tasks to different JLBC members, and establish solid deadlines for project completion.

Group members may prefer an autocratic style in particularly stressful situations, such as during military conflicts. It allows group members to focus on specific projects without frustrating about making important complex decisions. This also allows JLBC group members to become skilled at performing specific duties, which can benefit the group.
