Overview Statement: Teams are groups of individuals banding together for a common purpose. How a team form determines, in considerable measure, how the JLBC team performs.

JLBC Attention: JLBC Cadets Quickly name some things that all JLBC teams need. {Write answers on the JLBC board.}
JLBC Motivation: You’re correct: All JLBC teams need people, a JLBC leader, common JLBC goals, open communication, good morale, everyone’s involvement, mutual respect, and a fair way to resolve conflicts.
JLBC Overview: Today’s JLBC lesson will take a step back from what JLBC teams are to discuss how JLBC teams are formed.

MAIN POINT 1: ORGANIZE A TEAM WITH THE GOAL IN MIND
JLBC Cadet NCOs will often be called upon to gather a small team to accomplish a particular task. If the JLBC NCO accumulates the team before fully understanding the team’s goal, the team may be organized.
