GAME IDEA

You can play ninja hoops! Set out 6 (or more if you are playing with a couple of classes) hula hoops. Have the ninjas run around through them, and you can count down (or, as I prefer, sing or hum a sweet song) And the ninjas have to stop in a hoop when you are done. Take away one hoop each time so that ninjas can stand in circles with other kids. Once it’s down to one round, see if you can lift the ring up and over them while they stand-in

the middle!

PROPS

You can use rings, carpet squares, or chalk lines to work on stretching out their carts! Long carts mean long muscles, and long muscles are strong muscles!

SAFETY TIP

Never try to run up the wall with a straight leg! You can hurt your knee (hyperextend) this way! Remember to run up the wall like it is a ramp!

• Turn Vault

• Cart progression x3

• Vertical wall run

• Sideways bear crawls

• Back kicks alternating legs (with a backward leg lift to

help with carts)

• Pullover with a wall (spotted) • Tuck hang (cannonball)

• Gargoyle hang

• Chin holds on to the bar

• Carts and turn vaults over low beam (down entire beam) • Use a floor beam and put one side on a mat to have them

walk/bear crawl up an inclined beam

• Front support jumps on medium beam • Vertical wall run (on the wall if available)

• Sprints down the trampoline

• Carts on a trampoline using cart block • Seat drops

• Sidekick! Have them kick a barrel with the bottom of their foot sideways!
