JLBC Cadet Corps Expectations and Responsibilities

JLBC Cadet Corps Expectations and Responsibilities

As members of the JLBC (Junior Leadership Bootcamp and Behavior Cadet) Cadet Corps, cadets are expected to uphold high standards of conduct, professionalism, and commitment. These expectations and responsibilities are central to the Corps' mission of building character and leadership.

1. Conduct and Behavior

  • Cadets are expected to behave in a manner that reflects the values of the Corps: respect, integrity, service, and excellence. This includes demonstrating respect for others, taking responsibility for their actions, and always acting with honesty and integrity.

  • Cadets are required to abide by the Cadet Code of Conduct, which outlines expected behavior in detail. This includes treating all individuals fairly and without discrimination, refraining from bullying or harassment, and maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.

2. Academic Achievement

  • Cadets are expected to maintain satisfactory academic performance in all their school subjects. The Corps emphasizes the importance of education and encourages cadets to strive for academic excellence.

  • Cadets should apply the same discipline and dedication they learn in the Corps to their academic work. This includes completing assignments on time, preparing for exams, and seeking help.

3. Corps Commitment and Participation

  • Cadets are expected to fully participate in all Corps activities, including training sessions, community service projects, ceremonies, and other events. Regular attendance is crucial for the cadet's personal development and for the effective functioning of the Corps.

  • Cadets should show commitment to their roles and responsibilities within the Corps, whether they serve as team members or leaders. This includes being prepared, following through on tasks, and supporting their fellow cadets.

4. Physical Fitness

  • Cadets are expected to maintain a good level of physical fitness. Regular physical training is part of the Corps program, and cadets are encouraged to engage in healthy physical activities outside the Corps.

  • Cadets should understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition and rest. They should strive to make healthy choices and care for their physical well-being.

5. Uniform and Appearance

  • Cadets are required to wear the Corps uniform correctly and with pride. The uniform should always be clean, well-maintained, and worn according to the established dress code.

  • Cadets should maintain a neat and professional appearance. This includes adhering to grooming standards, such as keeping hair neatly trimmed and avoiding excessive jewelry or makeup.

By fulfilling these expectations and responsibilities, cadets contribute to the positive culture and effectiveness of the JLBC Cadet Corps. They also develop valuable skills and habits to benefit them in their future careers and personal lives.
