How Do I Conduct Leadership Training?
You are the primary role model for your JLBC Cadets. Everything you do is Leadership Training. Prepare your fire team leaders to take on greater responsibilities. Take a step back and allow your fire team leaders to run the squad. Imagine how the unit would operate if you become a casualty.
Have them help you conduct inspections, PT, and individual training. Use Tactical Decision Games (TDGs) to help develop their decision-making capabilities. Continually challenge them with unusual problems to force them to react under stress.
Give your JLBC Cadets role models to emulate. Familiarize them with the exploits of great leaders. Include yourself in this category by leading by example.
