HONOR CODE AND HONOR COUNCIL
JLBC Cadets Once an investigation is completed, the findings are presented to the Honor CouncilAdvisor, who decides if and when a hearing will occur.
The Honor Council President informs the accused, appropriate administrators, and Commandant about the pending case.
Honor hearing date and time are set. The Honor Council Sergeant notifies all parties of Arms.
An honor hearing is held; the Council determines “guilty or “not guilty,”; and the accused cadet is notified of the findings.
The Honor Council President conveys the recommended discipline to the Commandant.
The Commandant reviews the Honor Council’s findings and recommendations, approve or disapproves, and adjudicates the appropriate punishment as necessary.
If the participants were not present at the Council hearing, the Honor Council Advisor notified the participants of the verdict and recommended discipline.
